The old jeep has served its purpose by pulling our boat (until it was relieved of that duty by my new car) and reliably getting both John and Scott to Eagle High, to soccer games & practices, on dates & to work. It has even done more than its fair share of forbidden 'off roading'. Did they really think we'd believe that going at a normal speed through a puddle on a paved road would get mud & water on the top of the car?
After 160,000 it is finally ready to retire! The driver door won't latch and the repair would be 1/2 of what the car is worth so yesterday it was time to say a 'tearful' goodbye.
And a smiling hello to our new Jetta!
Oh the places we'll go.......
Isn't it funny how a vehicle can feel like a part of the family? Oooooh, your Jetta is so pretty... Congrats on your new addition!
ReplyDeleteLove the new car! How will you pull your boat now?
ReplyDeleteMy car pulls the boat. The poor old jeep has barely been able to get up the hill without a boat for the last couple of years!
