Grandpa

George seems to be taking to the Grandpa job.....Isabella is fascinated by him!
Here they are watching the FA Cup together.  Not sure who she was rooting for!
We are trying to convert her to the right team in La Liga - FC Barcelona....although her Daddy, the Real Madrid fan might have something to say about that!

We're Going to the Zoo!

Although Isabella is bit young for a day at the zoo, she seemed to enjoy herself.
 Grandpa surely enjoyed being there!
In memory of George's uncle Georkie who owned the 2 cougars that became the BYU mascots....yes real cougars!  This one was pacing around his enclosure really close to me!
Someday Isabella will learn about Pride Rock.....
Perfect day at the Oregon Zoo!

Silver Falls Again

We've been hiking at Silver Falls State Park several times.  Never have we had quite as cute a little bundle in a backpack!
The falls are magnificent!
Isabella loved it!  She preferred her mother's arms to the backpack, naturally.
Sometimes Oregon is so green that it looks fake!
It was a wonderful day...and the weather mostly cooperated....at least it didn't rain!
We stopped at one place on the trail that was obviously a place frequented by picnickers as the chipmunks came running from every corner.
I took so many pictures that I decided I'd better leave a tip.  The photos were well worth a few peanut MandMs!

Our Little Fish

When Johnny was little he was the only one of our kids to have no fear of the water.  He terrified my mother the summer before he turned 2 by jumping into the pool, going under and then just paddling his way to the side.  The boy was a fish!

Little Miss Isabella had never been swimming until she came to visit.  John took her over to our apartment pool to try it out.
I think she enjoyed it!
As Monica said,"The apple doesn't fall far from the tree!"
Truly I believe that Daddy had as much fun as Isabella!

Guests

Look who came to visit us for a few days!
My neighbor told me George and I were just glowing with joy!  We were so happy to see all three of them - John, Monica and little Isabella!

George - Lake Run

George made and has kept a New Year's resolution!   Three mornings a week he gets up early and goes to the gym to walk/run on the treadmill.  All that dedication and hard work paid off when he finished 4th in his age group for the 5K Lake Run!
Way to work hard!

A Time to Share

When we heard that a young woman from our stake had been called to serve in the Spain Barcelona Mission there was only one thing to do!  Invite her and her family over for a Spanish dinner!
We loved the chance to share delicious food and our memories and love for Barcelona!

Hermana Robinson is going to be an awesome missionary!
