Malls In Dubai

Dubai loves when they have the superlatives of things!  Largest mall...tallest building...largest aquarium in a mall....biggest man made island....biggest Ferris wheel....you get the idea!

The Dubai Mall has over 1900 stores and restaurants.  To put it in perspective. Boise Town Square has 150 stores. Mall of the America, the largest in the States has 520. And amazingly enough they are not satisfied but are currently building a mall with 3X the number of stores.  That is 5700 stores and restaurants.

You've probably heard of 'Ski Dubai'.  The ski hill inside a mall.  It is in the Emirates mall which is also enormous with about 900 stores and restaurants.

You can literally shop 'til you drop!

And they aren't just large, they are beautiful!

And full of great entertainment like an aquarium

Shoppers can enjoy it from the mall or you can pay and go walk inside through tunnels and viewing stations.

If you are stuck in the desert and want to ski?  No problem, just go to Ski Dubai.

There is a sledding hill and a bobsled run as well.

From the outside of the building it is pretty easy to see where the ski hill is located?

Ice skating is another option!

They even have a modern Souk or Bazaar which sells lots of the same items as the older souks but without the aggressive vendors trying desperately to get you to buy from them.

And for you Red's fans, there is a store dedicated to all things "Liverpool"!

Other stores are Sephora, Columbia, Nike, Abercrombie and Fitch, Adidas,  American Girl, Hallmark, America Eagle,  Apple, Virgin Records to name some of the familiar.....and a whole slew of designer stores!

If you get hungry you can eat at California Pizza Kitchen, Red Lobster, Cheesecake Factory, 5 Guys, KFC or McDonalds to name a few! Or be more adventurous and try Lebanese food or Iranian food....

The malls in Dubai are in themselves a tourist destination.
