Thanksgiving Get Away

For the first time ever George and I found ourselves alone on Thanksgiving so we decided to take a little weekend jaunt up to the Olympic Peninsula to do some hiking and exploring. I love these northwest rain forests with their ferns and moss!
Although we were in rain forest and it definitely did rain, it didn't rain quite all the time. We did enjoy some moments of sun!

One of my favorite sights on the Oregon/Washington coast are the sea stacks. This is just off the cleverly named 'Third Beach" near La Push, Washington.
Here we are at Cape Flattery which is the most northwesterly tip of the continental United States. Notice it was sunny again!

  1. Beautiful place. It's nice you and George had fun on Thanksgiving. Where did you eat? I hope it was not in Forks, although by the name of the city it should have good food.
